‘Chicago Med’ spoilers: Will Sarah opt to stay put?
One of the tings that the “Chicago” franchise have done a wonderful job at over time is creating a sense of fluidity. While there are a few people here and there who tend to stay put in these sort of jobs in real life, the reality is that there is job turnover. People leave, and people inevitably go and do some other things. “Chicago Fire” and “PD” have already lost many cast members and replaced them, and you could see something similar soon with “Chicago Med.”
What we’ve got for you below is the synopsis for the February 16 episode “Clarity,” one that among other things will show you that Sarah has a very important decision to make in regards to her future at the hospital.
“Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell) and Dr. Downey (guest star Gregg Henry) make plans to operate on Ray, a 9/11 hero who is suffering from pulmonary fibrosis. A new set of lungs could save his life through an innovative surgical procedure but an unforeseen medical problem arises with Ray that might derail the doctor’s grand plans. Sarah (Rachel DiPillo) contemplates which hospital to select for her residency match while Maggie (Marlyne Barrett) and April (Yaya DaCosta) make their push for her to remain at Chicago Med. Meanwhile, Dr. Choi (Brian Tee) works to determine the cause of an injured teenage star hockey player with an overbearing father while Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) and Dr. Manning (Torrey DeVitto) continue to clash.”
While it’s certainly possible that Sarah stays, the reality here is that this is almost the show’s version of planting this idea in your head. They want you thinking that it’s possible that she could depart, just in case other people do in the future.
