‘NCIS’ season 13 spoilers: Scottie Thompson will return before Michael Weatherly exit
While we are still waiting to see everyone who will return to “NCIS” before the exit of Michael Weatherly, we are glad to add one name officially to the list today: Scottie Thompson.
In a post on her Twitter page, Weatherly’s co-star Emily Wickersham (Bishop) posted a shot that included not just Michael and Scottie, but also a pretty great face from Sean Murray. It’s not entirely clear what Thompson’s Jeanne Benoit will be doing on the show this time, but the last time we saw her earlier this season she had a chance to reconnect with DiNozzo after a series of incidents so many years ago. We are glad to have seen her around this season; it is a great nod to the Tony character’s past, and also to a particularly memorable arc of episodes.
Unfortunately, we do know that it will be quite some time before this episode even airs. After all, the show is not even returning to CBS with another installment until February 9, and there is no confirmation as to when this will air following this. All we can say is that as we get closer and closer to Weatherly’s inevitable exit, we imagine that more and more Tony stories are going to come to light. It feels like this is something that the show has known about for quite some time, and thanks to that they will probably have prepared for it.
Of course, whether or not the farewell is something that gets fans excited or down in the dumps remains to be seen.

Once again Jeanne is returning in the same episode as Jon Cryer. I guess they can’t give Tony a story unless Gibbs’s drama is bigger. I’m going to predict that Gibbs and his new BFF the doctor will face all the danger and solve the case while Tony will spend his on screen time sitting at his desk. Heaven forbid an episode really allow Tony to shine!

Nice to see him with the only woman he ever loved. So glad Jeanne is back. Maybe he will just go work for her company.

Back when William Petersen announced his departure from CSI, his character (Gil Grissom)’s main love interest (Sara Sidle) had already departed the show, and it was announced that a secondary love interest (Lady Heather) would be returning for a guest appearance. After that episode aired, a fansite correctly predicted that based on the contents of the episode, Grissom would ultimately choose to be with Sara upon his departure.
Thus, I believe that it is possible that Jeanne Benoit could be like Lady Heather – a secondary love interest of a departing character who makes a guest appearance during the departing character’s final stretch, but whose appearance actually contributes to the departing character choosing to be with his departed main love interest.

Maybe it’s a ruse to cover up Ziva’s return? Or will he really leave with Jeanne. I don’t care either way personally, so long as he goes off happy rather than in a body bag.

Michael Weatherly has been broadcasting his desire to leave NCIS for a while. Since Côte left, his character has suffered. It’s my opinion he was punished for his loyalty to Côte. Michael has been very vocal about missing Cote and wanting her back! According to some articles he spoke with Les Moonves about his decision to leave. I hope somebody there has sense enough to let Tony and Ziva finally get their happily ever after together. Those two had such chemistry together. I don’t know if NCIS will survive both Côte and Michael leaving. Letting them be together would certainly help NCIS in the PR department. Face it! The ONLY buzz they get is always related to Côte/Ziva/Michael/Tony. Michael Weatherly did so much to promote and help NCIS, as did Côte. The pairing was shamelessly promoted! Let Michael get to work with his friend one last time to say good-bye to NCIS! The ratings will be off the chart and Twitter will probably “break” again. Harmon and some of the others need to let go off their hurt and egos and reward the fans for making them all stars.

His character suffered long before Ziva left, partially so she could be pushed into the limelight and be made to look like a superwoman. MW even said in an interview once she left that it was nice that Tony wasn’t being ganged up on by her and Tim and wasn’t the “idiot child in the corner” anymore.

It was Cote’s decision to leave and she fooled everyone since her departure. I certainly could understand if the rest of the Cast was disappointed in her. Even Michael mentioned how great it was without her on set. There have been rumors about her Diva behavior on set and Michael’s statement in fact confirmed it. But anyways, Harmon and co. don’t have to get let go of anything because they DID NOT ask for Cote to leave. Michael was against Tiva since day 1! He said Tiva is like Herpes. Doesn’t sound like someone who was so fond of that pairing. And Tony is more than the T in Tiva for God’s sake. His departure should be about him, not about anyone else. He doesn’t need anyone.

I liked the Jeanne/Tony arc but I don’t really expect the current ptb and writers to do his exit justice. They only seem to care about giving us constant arcs about the tragedies, dangers, and heroism of Gibbs. After that we get the new second in command McGee (they couldn’t even have the decency to wait until Weatherly was gone) and lots of drama for Bishop. I don’t think that the writers are allowed to flatter or feature Tony anymore. I’d like to see a big hero Tony arc but let’s face it, Gibbs is the only one that gets written as a hero. I’m bracing for a disappointing one and done for Tony. That’s all he ever gets now.

Same complains from Tony fans as always. Too bad that his own “fans” can’t see how great he is for real. But I understand, you’re way too busy bashing the other characters to focus on your so called fave. I get it. Not.

If Scottie Thompson is coming back, I think that we now know how they are going to send Tony off into the sunset. Oh well, it’s just not the same show that it once was. The old NCIS had romance, a kick butt leading lady, story lines that could last more than two eps, and laugh out loud humor. There is still a lot of other good stuff to watch. Monday is now my only CBS night. I don’t watch Supergirl but there is Scorpion and NCIS-LA. Then on Thurs its the competitor’s “The Blacklist.” There is a lot of great British programming available from various venues. This is simply not my favorite show anymore. I won’t watch out of habit.

Nobody’s forcing to watch out of Habit. And certainly, nobody is forcing you to even think about the show you obviously dislike so much now. Let the fans of the show have their fun. But I guess coming to places where fans of the show can discuss just to spread your hatred and disapproval is way too much fun for you, isn’t?

So, this is a site for fans who like everything about this show? No contrary opinions allowed. I thought that everyone was allowed to express his or her opinion as long as it wasn’t done in an abusive manner. I will think about the show in my own way. It was my favorite for ten seasons. I’m just lamenting what this show once was and is no more. If you don’t like my lament, don’t read it. We’ve had disagreements before. Why do you even read what I post. Before you read, you know that you aren’t going to agree with me. I read all of your posts on this site today and all you did was bash other people’s opinions. Toodle loo, I know who.

You don’t get the point: All you do is COMPLAIN about the show. It is obvious for everyone to see that you dislike the show and yet you continue to not only watch the show (just to bash everyone and everything involved) and you also continue to visit sites that provide Infos or Spoilers for actual fans of the show. And since you dislike the show and everything that goes with it, I would not call you a fan. Get the point?

How can you say that I’m not a fan? I own the DVDs for seasons 1 through 11. and I’ve watched them many times over. I would call that devotion. I am making comments about what I see as problems with the show that have been created by TPTB. I would like them to fix the problems. I’m not the only one who sees what I’m complaining about. Read the posts of the people you bashed. Most people will not write a letter or post to a forum. If they don’t like what they are seeing, they just stop watching.
Season 10 had live+7 viewership of 22.714 million per episode. Season 12 had 21,184 million per episode. That means 545.136 million for the year in season 10 and 508.416 million total for season 12. That is a loss of 32.72 million viewers (about 7%) in two years. Unless the viewership takes off this year, they will take another drop. It will be interesting to see if Michael Weatherly’s exit gives them a bump in viewership or will it push it lower. Do you really want all of the people who have issues with the show to just go away and stop watching? Maybe you could get CBS to make a public service announcement to that effect. Something like,”We only want true fans to watch this show. Would the rest of you please just turn the channel.”

You really don’t get the point of what I was trying to tell you. And since you’re not even try to understand or at least try to see it, I end this conversation. There’s no sense. And no, just because you have the dvd’s doesn’t mean you’re a fan. A fan is someone who enjoys something but can still see flaws. You don’t enjoy the show at all, you only see “flaws”. I haven’t seen you saying anything nice about the last seasons since your princess decided on her own to leave.

Love Gibbs but Tony really has become the essential character in the show. Not sure how it survives after he leaves.
LSilvaxx

They’re all essential on the show. The show does not revolve around only one character. Seriously, after 13 seasons people should have recognized that. Guess some didn’t.

The show revolves around Gibbs now. He’s the only really important character. Other than Gibbs, the writers give Bishop an arc every season and McGee has replaced Tony as Gibbs’s most trusted and essential agent. They’ve diminished Tony to the point where his status and skills as an essential agent to the team is almost non existent. Whether or not this diminishment can mitigate his importance and absence of Weatherly’s natural charisma, talent, and humor and its value to the show remains to be seen.
