‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3: Exec on Adrianne Palicki – Nick Blood ‘Most Wanted’ spin-off

Bobbi -There are many things to look forward to throughout the rest of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” season 3, whether it be character relationships or seeing more of what the producers do with Grant Ward now that he is infused with a rather beastly spirit.

One specific element of the story that will be worthy of following is seeing just how the show chooses to utilize both Adrianne Paclicki and Nick Blood, given that their characters of Bobbi Morse and Lance Hunter are being groomed for “Marvel’s Most Wanted,” a potential new series for the network next season. A pilot for the show has been ordered, and while that does not guarantee that such a show will happen, there’s clearly some hope.

Speaking to IGN while at the Television Critics Association Winter Press Tour this weekend, executive producer Jed Whedon made it clear that the actors would of course have to be written out of “Agents of SHIELD,” but that doesn’t render them unable to do periodic appearances in the future:

“Logistically it does mean they’re going to be leaving to make that … They’re a part of our show. We definitely think they are capable of carrying an entire other show. That being said, it’s sort of bittersweet. We’re very excited about the new show.”

Our biggest question mark for this new show right now is just trying to figure out where it fits as a part of the upcoming ABC schedule. The network already has two Marvel shows, and neither of them are necessarily drawing the biggest ratings in the world. Therefore, is there really room for a third?
