‘Legends of Tomorrow’ spoilers: More news on second part pilot!

LegendsLegends of Tomorrow” is going to premiere with a new episode on Thursday, January 21, but for the sake of this article, we’re going to be casting a focus on what is going to be taking place after that in the second episode of the season. We’re going to have a chance to see some serious danger for the Atom, Martin Stein contacting a younger version of himself, and also some doubting as to whether or not Captain Cold and Heat Wave can really be trusted. This show sounds like a blast, and you can see the synopsis for the January 28 continuation of the pilot below:

“Tipped off to Vandal Savage’s (guest star Casper Crump) whereabouts, the team infiltrates a munitions deal with Professor Stein (Victor Garber) as their leader. Surrounded by some of the toughest criminals in the world, things quickly go from bad to worse when Savage realizes they don’t belong there. A massive fight ensues and a piece of the Atom’s (Brandon Routh) suit falls off and into the wrong hands, which could potentially cause disastrous consequences in the future. Stein realizes the best way to retrieve the missing piece is to contact a brilliant man – his younger self. He, Sara (Caity Lotz) and Jax (Franz Drameh) head off in search of young Martin Stein (guest star Graeme McComb), much to Rip’s (Arthur Darvill) consternation. Meanwhile, Snart (Wentworth Miller) and Rory (Dominic Purcell) plan to steal a key element in defeating Savage but still unsure of his new teammates, Ray (Brandon Routh) demands to come along on the mission. Carter (guest star Falk Hentschel) helps Kendra (Ciara Renée) remember something vital.”

Obviously there is going to be a lot going on here in the early going, but we love the idea of there being concerns over whether or not the Legends are messing with time too much this early. What happens if older Stein means younger Stein? The good thing is that if there was ever someone capable of handling this delicate situation, it’s going to be Dr. Stein. He’s managed to succeed time and time again in precarious positions in the past.

Now, let’s just hope that all of the episodes this season end up being as fun as this one sounds.
