‘Celebrity Big Brother’ eviction: Was Winston McKenzie, Nancy Dell’Olio first person out?

Friday marked the first major eviction on “Celebrity Big Brother” this season, and it only made some sense that the first person sent out was someone that only a small percentage of people had ever heard of … and also someone who was hardly popular by the audience watching from the outside.

Longtime political candidate Winston McKenzie was ultimately booted as the people in the house got a chance to choose between him and other Z-list celebrity Nancy Dell’Olio. Jeremy McConnell is the only person who even cast a vote to keep Winston around. He was largely unpopular by both the public and many of his housemates for his attitude, in particular towards many of the women. He was also at one point warned about some of his behavior, which was deemed unacceptable by show producers.

Ultimately, we don’t imagine that too many people are going to miss Winston in the house. The show, after all, will get an opportunity now to move forward and take on some other issues, and hopefully some other personalities are going to get a chance to shine who aren’t so polarizing.

If we were to give some sort of postmortem on Winston, we’d say that ultimately we don’t get the casting, and he didn’t bring anything positive to the show, either. He’s somebody who producers knew had made appalling remarks in the past, so why even take the chance? It’s the same reason we wish they’d steered clear of Farrah Abraham, who crosses the line from “fun drama” to “angry drama” far too quickly.
