‘The Blacklist’ season 3, episode 10 spoilers: What lies ahead in ‘The Director: Conclusion’
While Liz Keen may have moved at least a little bit closer to being out of the woods on Thursday night’s new episode of “The Blacklist,” the reality still here is that she’s not there yet. There are some more problems that could await her courtesy of the Cabal, and while Ressler was integral in part one of “The Director” in ensuring that he and Liz were on the same page again, moving into part 2 the onus could very much be on James Spader’s Raymond Reddington.
In speaking specifically about “The Director: Conclusion” in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Jon Bokenkamp had the following to say:
“What’s coming next is exactly what Reddington says at the end of this episode: It’s time to take down the Cabal. One of the joys of writing this character, and really the fun of the series, is seeing how Reddington can manipulate situations and play people against each other and off of each other. He has, really since the second episode of the season, been working toward a strategy that he plans to implement in this very next episode. It really is a fun episode. It’s a caper, in a way, in which Reddington is going to gather what’s left of the team. It’s a very fractured team in Samar (Mozhan Marnò), Aram (Amir Arison) and Cooper (Harry Lennix). He’s bringing everyone back together in a very scrappy, deconstructed way. He has a plan, and it’s a really fun one to see play out.”
In other words, this is going to be an episode that is a heck of a lot of fun to watch play out live. You’re going to have a tremendous opportunity to see whether or not Red’s plan comes to fruition, and if there are some stumbling blocks, how he manages to take them on. There’s enough in here to make us think that it will pay off this current stretch of episodes and then some.
