‘Teen Wolf’ season 5 spoilers: Deucalion will return and other details

Tuesday night marks the winter premiere of “Teen Wolf” to MTV, and there are clearly quite a few things that are going to be unfolding even beyond this episode.

For example, Deucalion is back! The Demon Wolf, who was last a major part of the show during the first half of season 3, will be returning when, per TVLine, Theo searches for answers on the Beast of Gévaudan, the fearsome werewolf who may be the Big Bad for this second half of the season … with emphasis on the word “may,” since there are still plenty of opportunities for the show to shake things up here and there.

Also, the site reports that Arden Cho is going to be back as Kira starting on the second episode airing on January 12. Meanwhile, the 14th episode of the season (which will be the fourth airing this year) will be hugely important for Malia and the Desert Wolf.

It’s nice to see that the show is looking more towards its past at this point for answers, given the fact that we now so far into the run that it has this rich catalog of people that we’ve come to know. It gives it more continuity, and it also helps to tie things up for whenever the show does decide to end things. We know that there is at least one more season coming after this one wraps up, so that’s something to be aware of.
