‘The Bachelor’ spotlight: Will Mandi Kremer bring the humor to Ben Higgins’ season?
Typically, humor and dentistry are not two words you commonly hear together. It’s like “brief” and “trip to the DMV.” However, maybe we’ve reached a turning point for dentists on reality TV! “Big Brother” had Johnny Mac on this summer, and Amanda Kremer on “The Bachelor” (she seems to be going more by Mandi) appears to be a hoot. She also looks a lot like Heather Graham.
So will Mandi’s humor and uniqueness win Ben Higgins over? This is something we’re going to be diving into more in our latest contestant spotlight feature..
Age – 28
Occupation – Dentist. There is a precedent for famous dentists on the franchise. Just look at Ashley Hebert!
Location – Portland, Oregon. It’s a place known for being a little eccentric, and it’s also relatively close to where Ben spends much of his time in Denver. It’s a long-distance relationship that could for a time work.
Things to know – She is one of the few people who actually had an audition tape you can see online! It’s a little too racy to put on here, since the premise is that she is showing you parts of her home while guys in very little clothing are lying around in various places while she pretends to not notice them. It’s pretty funny, and it shows that she is going for the personality angle more so than many other contestants this season. (Search for her name on YouTube and you’ll find it.)
Strengths – She’s obviously someone who likes to laugh and isn’t afraid to poke fun at herself, which is great since this is “The Bachelor” and very little is serious until late in the season? Humor aside, she does have a great job that she can do anywhere provided she gets the right credentials.
Problem areas – You probably do need to take the competition a little more seriously than Mandi does to have a real shot of ending up with Ben in the end. We’re not sure what the romantic chemistry will be between them, and if the other women will grow tired of her.
Prediction – The producers will love her / consider bringing her onto “Bachelor in Paradise.” We give her a few episodes on this season tops.
