‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ preview: Yolanda Foster questions and more

Yolanda -Here we go again: A story on “The Real Housewives” franchise about whether or not someone is being honest about their illness. We spent about a good half seemingly of this past “Real Housewives of Orange County” season dealing with Brooks Ayers and whether or not he really had cancer; now on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” is Yolanda Foster’s Lyme disease diagnosis in question?

In a promo that aired after Tuesday night’s new episode, Lisa Rissa questioned whether or not Yolanda could have a different diagnosis, one that causes her to feign certain symptoms with a different purpose in mind. For the record, we don’t believe this to be true, mostly because there’s no real motivation for it. It does appear clear to us that Yolanda is having trouble with her marriage (which makes sense, given that the two are no longer together in the present), but we think that there is something more going on here that what Lisa is saying.

The synopsis below offers up some further information as to what to expect in this hour:

“Kyle reflects on her own acting career when her seven-year-old daughter Portia expresses an interest in following in her mother’s footsteps. Across town, Erika and her husband visit Yolanda and David in Malibu before the Fosters head off on a beautiful vacation. Elsewhere, Eileen and Vincent argue over the proper time to have an argument. Lisa Vanderpump invites the ladies over to show off the surprise mini-horses she got for Ken, but Lisa Rinna has a surprise of her own–a shocking suggestion about Yolanda’s health.”

Ultimately, our philosophy on reality TV illnesses is pretty simple: We’re inclined to believe people until given a reason to think otherwise. We’re sticking to that here.
