Is ‘Agents of SHIELD’ season 3, episode 11 new tonight on ABC?
It has been one week now since the end of Marvel’s “Agents of SHIELD” season 3A, and with that, we’ve been left to think about quite a bit over the course of the past several weeks. We still do not know what is going to happen with Ward 3.0, whether or not Coulson’s thirst for revenge will hang over him, or what will happen now with Fitz and Simmons now that they are firmly rooted in the same place.
Unfortunately, we’re not going to find much out until Tuesday, March 8. The lengthy delay between half-seasons is a measure to ensure that all installments air in bunches. It’s not something that every show uses, but we are particularly glad that this one does on the basis of keeping the pattern of new episodes reasonably regular. Also, in that time we’re going to have the second season of “Agent Carter” coming on the air.
So, in general terms, what you can expect to see on the second half of this season includes the following:
1. More opportunities to see this new and “evolved” Ward following everything that has transpired with the Beast taking over his body. (The real Ward was killed by Coulson.)
2. New potential threats for SHIELD / the Secret Warriors to battle.
3. Another potential shake-up, given that “Captain America: Civil War” is coming in the spring, and if this is anything like “The Winter Soldier,” it could fundamentally change the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it. We’ll just have to see what happens.
