‘Scorpion’ season 2, episode 13 preview: When will Elyes Gabel, Katharine McPhee, cast return?

Did you enjoy the winter finale of “Scorpion” on CBS Monday night? There was certainly a lot to like in between fake snow innovations and also getting a chance to see a great action set piece all around a dam.

When the show returns in the new year, there will be a variety of new cases, some exciting missions (including one where the team heads to a particularly chilly climate), and all of the trademark humor you’ve come to know and love. The other good news is that you may not be forced to wait for too long. According to the Futon Critic, the series will come back on the air early in the new year on Monday, January 4.

If this date does in fact hold, then it is continuing what is a longtime tradition of shows that are starting early off in the new year on CBS. This network, perhaps more so than really any other on TV, likes to give you new episodes very early on in the new year. Part of the reason for that may be in anticipation of NCAA basketball, which they know is going to eat up some time in the spring. The other reason may be as simple as that they know there won’t be as much competition.
