‘American Horror Story’ stars mourn loss of ‘Freak Show’ actor Rose Siggins
There was some truly sad news that broke over the weekend for the “American Horror Story” family: Rose Siggins, who played the role of the legless woman Suzi on the FX series’ fourth season entitled “Freak Show,” passed away over the weekend at the age of 43.
We don’t typically post many “celebrities react to given event” articles, but in this case we feel like it is a little bit of a special circumstance. Siggins leaves behind two children, and as Sarah Paulson notes in one of the Twitter messages below, there is a GoFundMe page that has been set up to help cover final expenses and to help her children try to recover from this devastating loss. Some of her other co-stars with social media, including Denis O’Hare, Finn Wittrock, and Angela Bassett, also shared their thoughts. All of these tweets are a sign that even though this show is a scary one, there is a family of loving people at the heart of it. “Freak Show” in particular is a season where many people have fond memories of one another.
“American Horror Story” will continue with its midseason finale on Wednesday night, and we would hope that FX would choose to include some sort of In Memoriam at the end of the episode in hopes that they can properly pay their respects. We will have some more news on that as we start to find out more.
For now, let’s just say that our heart goes out to Siggins’ friends and loved ones during this difficult time.
