‘How to Get Away with Murder’ season 2 spoilers: How will Laurel’s story progress?
There have been at times on “How to Get Away with Murder” season 2 that we’ve wondered what’s going on with Laurel. As a matter of fact, we admit that we’ve probably said this more about her than almost anyone else. There is so much more about this character we want to know, and so much of her history could change based on what she was forced to think about in the closing seconds of the winter finale. She didn’t shoot Annalise, but she was at least asked to consider it.
So how could this moment shake things up for the character? This is something that executive producer Pete Nowalk explained further in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly recently:
“In that moment when she was getting asked to shoot Annalise, she had to really look at herself and see what sort of person she was … I love the way she reacts, and I’m very excited to show how she’s evolved from this Murder Night. She’s going to have a very big responsibility on her when we come back, and handles it in a way that’s going to surprise us.”
What we’d like to see from Laurel in the second part of the season is her developing more of an edge, even more vigor, and trying to figure out what she really wants from her life. At this point, the entire Keating Five should probably realize that this just isn’t work it anymore, and should start to at least consider looking in other directions. If we were in their shoes, this is at least something we’d consider.
