‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5, episode 11 (fall finale): Jennifer Morrison, cast vs. army of darkness

Dark Emma -

Next week, “Once Upon a Time” will be going off the air following its fall finale for a few months, and it will be doing so with an installment in “Swan Song” that is an epic battle like no other.

At the end of Sunday night’s new episode (read our full review for it here), Dark Hook ended up summoning the army of Dark Ones from the Underworld using the blood of someone in Rumpelstiltskin who had been more or less to Hell and back. Don’t you think that this is going to cause a problem or two down the road? You better believe it. This story is going to be setting the stage for the second half of the season, and presumably getting us even further into the mythology of who may have been controlling Nimue, and the dark forces at the center of the universe.

Based on the promo below, almost every character will have their life in jeopardy in one form or another, with this new army of darkness presumably trying to destroy everyone who fights for the other team once and for all. It is hard to imagine that they will be successful, but this isn’t going to stop them from trying with every fabric of their being.

For those interested in knowing something else strictly from a numbers point of view, here you go: This is the 99th episode of the series! The spring premiere is episode #100, and that is where many favorites from the past, including Barbara Hershey (Cora) and Robbie Kay (Pan) are set to return. Granted, these people are probably not the favorites of the characters, given that they are all villains and some of the most feared ones we’ve seen.
