NBC’s ‘The Voice’ results: Did #VoiceSave help Evan McKeel, Korin Bukowski stay alive?

VoiceThe results show on “The Voice” Tuesday night had a little bit of intrigue going into it … but not that much. After looking at the iTunes rankings, it was pretty clear to us that Korin Bukowski was probably going to be in danger yet again, and may need the help of the patented #VoiceSave to protect her.

To us, the biggest mystery was learning who she would end up against. Early on in the show, the series removed one serious bottom-two contender in Braiden Sunshine; he may not be selling on iTunes, but clearly someone out there is making sure that the kid is never in serious jeopardy. Amy Vachal, who had a great night on iTunes, was also safe. From here, we learned the same thing about Jordan Smith and Zach Seabaugh. Once again, no surprises.

The next two artists to be saved were Madi Davis and Emily Ann Roberts, so by the time there were only five remaining, most of the favorites other than Jeffery Austin were in good standing. He was luckily saved not too long after that. Then, we learned the same thing about Barrett Baber and Shelby Brown.

In the end, the choice was between Korin (again) and Evan McKeel, which shows yet again that Adam Levine and Blake Shelton always seem to have the inside track with their artists … even if we occasionally have a Josh Kaufman or Sawyer Fredericks. Our feeling was that Evan would get the love this time based on it being his first time in the bottom … but Korin is saved again! There is something to be said, after all, for being in this spot multiple times. It does help you secure a following!
