‘Bones’ season 11 spoilers: Is something terrible coming in two-part fall finale?

“Bones” has this nasty habit these days of stirring up a wide array of emotions in us when it comes to shocking character deaths. Just take a look at the end of Sweets as one example of that, but you then had another earlier this season with Booth’s brother.

So could we be losing another character in the near future? Based on what we’re seeing right now, it’s possible. According to TVLine, there is going to be a “heartbreaking” loss coming up during the upcoming two-part fall finale on December 10. We suppose that this does not mean with 100% certainty that we are going to see the end of a character, but that is the best guess for now. The only clue offered up is that this loss is tied to a series regular. (We better not lose another main character!)

We hope that one way or another, “Bones” does figure out a way to create something to get people talking about the show in the way that the crossover did. The ratings could use a boost, especially since the show is going on a rather lengthy hiatus following the end of this part of the season. Our guess is that the second half of the season will premiere in the spring, but it is really up to whenever Fox wants to do it. We wouldn’t be surprised if it ran past the May sweeps just as it did during season 10.
