‘Madam Secretary’ season 2, ‘The Good Wife’ season 7 delayed again by NFL; see new start times
Just in case you were wondering, the NFL showdown between the New England Patriots and New York Giants is having a pretty tremendous impact when it comes to the start time for “The Good Wife” and “Madam Secretary” on Sunday night.
How much so? Let’s shed a little light on the subject. With “60 Minutes” starting later at around 7:56 p.m. Eastern time, we can now confirm that “Madam Secretary” will start around 8:56 p.m. Eastern, with “The Good Wife” starting at around 9:56. “CSI: Cyber” will then start not too long after that. This all depends of course on where you are watching, since not everyone may be experiencing the delay.
What is weird to us here is that CBS is somewhat dropping the ball when it comes to announcing these times long in advance, relying on viewers seemingly instead to either use Twitter or the network itself to figure this out. It is actually the South Carolina affiliate for the network below that gave us the start times rather than the network itself.
Do we hate the fact that these programs are consistently delayed? Definitely, but the thing you have to remember here is how much money the NFL makes for CBS. It’s not going anywhere at any point in the near future, so you just have to be ready for these shows to continue to cause a lot of delays. There are a small handful of stories that are still left to tell here, and then, we’re going to be going on a hiatus until next year.
