‘The Originals’ season 3, episode 7 preview: Joseph Morgan, Daniel Gillies, and holiday ‘cheer’
While we didn’t quite know that we needed a Thanksgiving episode of “The Originals” airing next week, it’s pretty fair to say that after watching the new preview for it below, we are more than a little bit intrigued at what could be coming up at this particular party.
The great thing about this show is that even though there could be something coming at the characters that threatens their very existence in one way or another, they still find a way to press forward and act as though nothing is any different. It’s completely crazy, but isn’t that part of the fun? Also, the synopsis and promo below just give us a great sense that the amount of politics and threats back and forth between Klaus and Aurora are going to rival some of actual families come Thanksgiving dinner:
“With a dire prophecy looming over them, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) invite Lucien (guest star Andrew Lees), Tristan (guest star Oliver Auckland) and Aurora (guest star Rebecca Breeds) to a Thanksgiving gathering in an attempt to negotiate a truce. When Aurora reveals that she has powerful leverage over Klaus, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) and Freya (Riley Voelkel) take matters into their own hands, leading to a deadly three-way confrontation. Elsewhere, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) and Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood) are forced to take drastic measures when they realize Davina (Danielle Campbell) may be in over her head, and Cami (Leah Pipes) finds herself face-to-face with a dangerous new threat.”
What is it with these vampire shows and dinner parties these days? “The Originals” will have its work cut out for it trying to top Lily and Julian’s party on “The Vampire Diaries” from earlier tonight. That one had almost everything you could want, from violence to drama to a few surprises.
