‘The X Factor’ UK spoilers: Theme for Louisa Johnson, Che Chesterman, top 9 revealed

X Factor -When “The X Factor” airs on ITV this coming weekend, it is now confirmed just what the artists will be singing … at least to a certain extent. It has been now officially revealed that Movie Week is the theme of the evening, which is already making us groan audibly.

Why do we hate Movie Week so? It’s mostly because the theme means nothing. Some artists will just pick a hit song that happens to be in a movie rather than one popularized by one, and we picture in our head people just flipping through a song catalog, finding a song they like, and then rushing to figure out if that was in a movie at some point.

Honestly, we’d prefer it at this point if the show just did away with theme weeks altogether unless there are themes that allow contestants to perform original songs (Monica Michael clearly wants to), or ones that force contestants to do something outside of their wheelhouse. That’s why we like the club music week, since it forces contestants to do something a little more upbeat versus just standing in place and singing a ballad.

As of right now, we consider Louisa Johnson, Che Chesterman, and 4th Impact the favorites to win the competition. Then again, there’s still plenty of room for a surprise given that we never thought that Seann Miley Moore would be eliminated within the first few weeks of the season. We didn’t think he’d win, but he felt like a likely addition to the top 7 or 8.

If you missed it, head over here right away to see what Seann had to say about leaving the contest, and whether or not he had any hard feelings over being sent home when he did!
