‘Homeland’ season 5, episode 6 preview: Should Carrie listen to Jonas?

Does Carrie really want to get away from a dangerous life on “Homeland“? Going into Sunday night’s new episode, this is a question that the show clearly wants you pondering in one form or another.

The sneak peek below lays out the situation perfectly between Claire Danes’ character and her new love Jonas. If she chooses to go with him, he can do his best to try to protect her from the danger that is now more or less coming at her from multiple sides. She doesn’t act as though this is an option, largely because she is in a situation where she doesn’t know who to trust. While we think she trusts Jonas, the problem is that the authorities on all sides could be corrupted or confused. With allegiances now so gray and with so many threats in the virtual realm, we’re entering a stage for this show where things are more unpredictable than ever.

Of course, this is “Homeland,” so the one question that we do have to wonder right now is this: Is there any reason why we should be trusting Jonas at all? We know that he acts as though he cares for Carrie, but the reality still is that we’re still getting to know who he is. his allegiances could reveal themselves to be less-than-favorable, and as a result, Carrie could be in danger if she does choose to go with him.

We don’t want to see Jonas be made into a bad guy; however, the Quinn / Carrie ‘shipper in just probably does want to see him out of the picture sooner rather than later.
