‘Gotham’ season 2, episode 8 preview: Barbara has a bad dream

What if everything on “Gotham” as of late has just been Barbara Kean’s bad dream, and she wakes up before having killed her parents?

Okay, we’re kidding, given that there is no chance of that happening in a billion years. With that being said, there is still plenty of potential for the new episode on Monday night to be an intense, bizarre affair, and we can confirm still that Barbara does in fact have a bad dream that is going to play a part in the story. You can see a sneak peek of that below.

Basically, Erin Richards’ character is wearing a wedding dress, and is set to marry Jim Gordon before everything starts to hit the fan, Oswald shows up as the minister, and Galavan is off playing the piano.

What in the world are we meant to make of this? We cannot use this as evidence solely that she is insane, largely because there are plenty of us out there who have had strange dreams at one point or another in our lives. Basically, if this made us question something with Barbara, we’d have to question everyone who has a bad dream. What it does for us is make us wonder if there is still an element of humanity buried somewhere in here where she wants everything to be reset, and she can be with Jim before anything happened to them. It’s impossible, but that does not keep her from dreaming about it in some shape or form. All of the monsters who arrive may be a manifestation of events.
