‘Scorpion’ season 2, episode 7 preview: Toby’s first boxing match

Toby is certainly having it rough on “Scorpion” at the moment! First, he had that near-death experience thanks to Walter O’Brien’s actions in the past episode of the show on CBS. Now, Monday night will feature him taking on his first boxing match. Is this really going to impress Happy? We’re not so sure, based on what he’s up against.

The one thing that Toby has going for him at the moment is research. He spent a ton of time looking up his opponent and figuring out his weaknesses online. Here’s the problem: That may amount to literally nothing. He doesn’t have the experience to do this, and we certainly don’t see it ending well. The sneak peek below wraps up before we get to see the closing minutes / possibly seconds of the fight.

The best part of this video may be, really without a doubt, the way that the introductions are done here with Toby getting all of his various accolades out there. Our favorite line? That he has “more degrees than a thermometer.” Unfortunately, none of these said degrees are in kicking butt and taking names.

This storyline is going to be only one part of what is a pretty action-packed hour of TV Monday night. After all, we’re also going to see a high-speed sequence where Paige and Ralph are stuck aboard a train that has been sabotaged. Let’s just say that if there is one sort of thing that could cause Walter to enter another gear, this is it. We’ll be back Monday night with a review of everything that transpires.
