‘Doctor Who’ season 9, episode 7 preview: Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman, and Zygons!

Doctor Who

On “Doctor Who” this weekend, the saga of “The Girl Who Died” / “The Woman Who Lived” came and went, and that leaves us in an interesting position now of moving forward. Prepare for some familiar faces next week in “The Zygon Invasion,” with UNIT at the top of the list.

The synopsis that the BBC revealed for this particular episode is not necessarily the most revealing in the world, but it does present to you the threat of aliens. What’s really better than that?

“The Zygons, a race of shapeshifting aliens, have been living in secret among us on Earth, unknown and unseen – until now!

“When Osgood is kidnapped by a rogue gang of Zygons, the Doctor, Clara and UNIT must scatter across the world in a bid to set her free. But will they reach her in time, and can they stop an uprising before it’s too late?”

By the time we make it to the end of this episode, we clearly expect there to be another sensational cliffhanger that carries us through to the next all-new installment. Would we really expect anything different at this point in the season? We’ve reached the halfway point, and other than some new threats popping up here and there, the only other thing that we can say to definitively expect on the show moving forward is something that will eventually lead to Jenna Coleman leaving the series. She has, after all, already confirmed her exit, and we may see what the show looks like without her before the Christmas Special comes to a close.
