‘Top Chef’ season 13 finally has premiere date, first trailer
We’ve been waiting a long time to find out some of the first details regarding “Top Chef” season 13. The show typically premieres a little earlier in the fall, but today it was confirmed that the series is instead returning to Bravo with a two-night premiere starting on Wednesday, December 2 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time.
The good news about the show coming on so late? It’s really so simple as you no longer having to worry and/or freak out about there being much in the way of competition … other than maybe a little bit of “American Horror Story” if it is not on hiatus at this point.
The setting for this year’s season is California, and we’re going to see the cast tour the state much in the same way that they did during the Texas season. (Let’s hope that this is a better season as a whole; other than winner Paul, that season was more or less a miss.) We’re going to be seeing Palm Springs, Santa Barbara, and San Francisco; we have to assume that Los Angeles will factor in here at some point, as well.
Some of the celebrity guests teased in the video below include MC Hammer of all people along with Chrissy Teigen. Maybe these two are superfans, given that the show does like to bring on stars who are already familiar with the format and with how the judging process works.
Cast-wise, this is tough to analyze since we really don’t know anyone yet; based on the trailer below, though, it’s pretty clear that producers are very fond of a certain bald man who could become the villain or at least big character of the season.
We’ll have more on the upcoming season soon, but for now head over to this link to get some other TV news, and the occasional tasty morsel you can’t get anywhere else, via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: Bravo.)
