‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 7, episode 4 preview: First look at 150th episode!

NCISThe 150th episode of “NCIS: Los Angeles” is airing on CBS next week, and anytime that you have this sort of milestone, you tend to expect big things on almost every level. Could this be the case when it comes to this show? Right now, our feeling on that is a little mixed.

“Command & Control” is the title for the episode, and the synopsis for it is below:

“Callen and Sam are forced to work on their day off when they mysteriously receive a cell phone and the caller threatens the lives of innocent people if they don’t do exactly what he says.”

We like the idea of this story, mostly because it feels like it is coming at this from a fairly-comedic place. We always do enjoy stories when they are a little bit of the “romp” variety, and seeing Callen and Sam having to switch from play to work gear in a matter of minutes could be very entertaining. From here, it feels almost like we will be going strictly into action mode to try to stop this cell phone caller. Does this sound a little bit like “Scream” to anyone else? The homage is at least clear to us, even if the rest of the case made be completely different.

In the end, we expect an entertaining episode, but not necessarily something that reinvents the wheel. 100th episodes are typically the ones that lead to some sort of crazy celebration; nobody really does anything special for 150, other than include it in a release like this one.
