‘Chicago PD’ season 3 spoilers: Sophia Bush previews story in ‘Today Show’ interview
Wednesday night at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, “Chicago PD” will be back in action! The season premiere will have a few separate things all happening, but to us the main story could not be more clear: It’s about Erin Lindsay, and whether or not she can save Jay Halstead from the capture of one of the city’s most-feared criminals. This is her chance both to help a man she cares for, but also a chance for redemption with Intelligence after walking away from them at the end of season 2.
Want to see something more when it comes to her key decision? There is a small sneak peek featuring Lindsay and Voight at the start of Sophia Bush’s appearance on “The Today Show” Tuesday, and you can see all of it in the video below. Bush discusses the sense of comfort that she and the cast now have working now on the show, even if that is in opposition to the dark, gritty nature of the series. The writers are not afraid to take these people to difficult places, and we see no reason to believe that this will change as we move further into the season.
Given that the show is about the department more than any one character, it feels easy to assume that we will see Lindsay back with the force in an official capacity soon. From there, the question becomes mostly if she can stay on the straight and narrow, and be more of an asset to Intelligence than a hindrance.
