ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8 spoilers: Details for key Nathan Fillion story in ‘What Lies Beneath’
While “Castle” has certainly changed over the years to focus more on crime-solving, but at the end of the day, we do have to remember that this is still a story about a guy who is also an author. You didn’t get a sense of that during the premiere, but by the time we get to the fourth episode of the show airing next month entitled “What Lies Beneath,” that opportunity will be presenting itself in a big way.
Want to get some other news about that? While we do now have the full press release on the installment just yet, we do have the short synopsis now via SpoilerTV:
“Castle is determined to figure out who murdered his idol, a reclusive author, but the truth seems to be stranger than fiction.”
There is to us something very intriguing that comes from Castle’s hero worship, especially when it is someone who is the complete opposite of him in many ways other than his profession. So long as you have a good way to involve Beckett, we’re always intrigued in what inspires Nathan Fillion’s character, and what his creative process is really like. There is after all so much pressure on people in his particular profession to continue to churn out new material on a pretty regular basis, and we imagine that over time, it could get a little bit tiring. We wouldn’t be shocked if his idol actually writes material that is the complete opposite of what he does, mostly because it would add just that extra pinch of variety into his life.
