‘Chicago Fire’ season 4 spoilers: First news on Taylor Kinney – Jesse Spencer stories in premiere

If you are a fan of “Chicago Fire,” we hope that at this point, you have learned a thing or two in regards to patience. NBC has taken their time getting out some details on the show, with one of the biggest reasons for that simply being that the series is not starting until October 13. There’s no real reason to rush things!

Unfortunately, that does mean more torment for fans waiting to see just what is going to happen to Casey after he was taken during the season 3 finale. Fittingly, the title for the first episode back is “Let It Burn,” and as the synopsis below is going to make more than clear, his story is just the tip of the iceberg. Severide has a difficult story coming up, and you are also going to get a chance to see former “Vampire Diaries” star Steven R. McQueen on the show for the first time:

“Lt. Casey (Jesse Spencer), who is at the center of an undercover operation to bring down a trafficking ring run out of Nesbitt’s (guest star Eric Mabius) strip club, finds himself in very dangerous territory. Meanwhile, as a result of the high turnover rate on squad, Severide (Taylor Kinney) gets a rude awakening when Capt. Dallas Patterson (guest star Brian White) is brought in, much to Boden’s (Eamonn Walker) dismay. Dawson (Monica Raymund) confirms her suspicions that her life is about to change forever and Jimmy Borrelli (guest star Steven R. McQueen), the new candidate, makes an unusual first impression. Elsewhere, citizens of Chicago band together to take charge of their neighborhood in protest of a drug den in their area, resulting in ramifications that severely hinder members of Firehouse 51, who are called to the scene to battle a blazing fire.”

Given what Casey is up to, we imagine that it is possible that some “Chicago PD” characters could eventually turn up to help in the effort. For the time being, though, we are not getting too much in the way of detailed information on that. The police show is starting on September 30, so at least you don’t have to wait long for news on that.
