‘Legends of Tomorrow’ spoilers: ‘Mr. Robot’ actress signs up for Valentina Vostok role

One of the joys of having a show like DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” is that there are very few limitations when it comes to the story that you can and cannot tell. This means getting as many different characters from the comic-book universe as you want, and they really don’t have to be connected to anyone that you already have.

With that, let’s bring you the news that Valentina Vostok is coming aboard the show, and there is a familiar face playing her … provided of course that you watch one of the best shows on cable in “Mr. Robot.” According to a report from TVLine, Stephanie Corneliussen is going to play the aforementioned role, a brilliant Soviet scientist who on the surface seems invested in defending her homeland to the best of her ability. Eventually, both Captain Cold and Ray Palmer try to figure out whether or not she is working for Big Bad Vandal Savage by attention to earn her affection and respect. This sounds to us like it has the potential to be a fun storyline, mostly because we haven’t really seen much of Cold trying to impress someone for purposes other than just getting what he wants.

In the comics, there is a time when Vostok is known by the term Negative Woman, but unless Cisco turns up and starts handing out nicknames to people on this show, we are not entirely sure we are going to see this go in a similar direction.

“Legends of Tomorrow” is going to premiere on The CW at some point early next year, and we’re going to have more news about it over the months ahead over at the link here. Stay tuned for more of the latest as it comes out!
