‘Empire’ season 2 spoilers: What’s next for Rhonda and Andre?

We that Lucious and Cookie Lyon are two of the flashier characters on “Empire” to discuss, and therefore, we have spent the majority of our time over the past several weeks discussing these two characters more so than any other.

However, there are clearly some other people who are hugely important to the show, and two of them at the moment are Rhonda and Andre. During the end of season 1, she realized that they were expecting a child together! As a result of that, it feels like at least some of her priorities have changed, and she is not nearly as preoccupied in trying to ensure that she gets what she wants from the Lyon family.

In explaining this a little bit further to TVLine, actress Kaitlin Doubleday gives a tiny preview of what is to come for her character:

“She’s more worried about Andre having another mental breakdown or confessing [to his role in Uncle Vernon’s death] than she is in saying, ‘Let’s figure out how we can f–k over your family.”

Going into the premiere, most of the buzz that we are hearing at the moment is that the show actually is continuing to build up steam. For a while, one of the primary concerns that was out there was that this is a show that may have hit its creative and commercial peak earlier this year, but we are hearing that there is no sophomore slump or dip in quality … at least in the early going.
