‘Scorpion’ season 2 premiere will feature new ‘Supergirl’ footage
At this point, we imagine that a few out there could be tired of seeing the same exact footage time and time again for “Supergirl” on CBS, and we would understand. Some may feel like at this point, they have already seen almost the entire pilot just based on the trailers, photos, and all of the other stuff that has been put out there.
Eventually, you’re going to want to see something else from the first season, and the good news is that you are not going to have to wait too much longer. CBS has announced that during their upcoming season 2 premiere for “Scorpion” (Monday at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time), they will be sending your way some of the first footage from episode 2 and beyond. That is a chance to see more of what the show is evolving into, and what some of the other challenges for Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) will be.
At this particular point, the anticipation for “Supergirl” is still high, but there are problems that it is going to face in the early going. We are in the era at this point where almost every person has the world’s shortest attention span, and that complicates things greatly. You really have to get everyone on board in an almost-instant fashion, and if you don’t you run the risk that you move on. Therefore, this show really has to start rocking things out come episode 3 or 4. “The Flash” took a couple of months before it really started to become a great show, and they were lucky the audience stuck around for that along.
“Supergirl” will premiere starting at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time on Monday, October 26, where it will air right out of “The Big Bang Theory” in an attempt to get the biggest rating possible.
