‘Arrow’ season 4 spoilers: How John Constantine fits into the world

Arrow -We feel like we have made it utterly no secret at all just how excited we are to see what Constantine brings to the table on “Arrow.” After all, he is someone who had a fun run on NBC, and he is bringing seemingly most of that mythology right over to this show. We’re not sure how much of it will be addressed, but this upcoming episode (the fifth of the season) works as a nice way to give John the send-off that he should have had before the original show was canceled earlier this spring.

While we know that the episode has already been filmed, but as executive producer Marc Guggenheim says to Superhero Hype, there is still so much to look forward to from the story:

“When you see him in the show, honestly it feels like we’re doing a Constantine/Arrow crossover, and it’s so exciting… We’re just really glad we got the chance to extend Matt Ryan’s run as Constantine by at least one more hour of television. I think you’ll see he fits very neatly into our universe. It never feels forced, it feels right. Stephen [Amell’s] on-screen vibe with Matt is just very natural, it’s as if these guys had been working together forever. I think people are really going to love the episode. John Badham directed it and it was just a happy circumstance, but John had also directed an episode of Constantine. It all works, and it works really effortlessly. It worked effortlessly with a lot of effort, I should say. I can’t wait for people to see that episode. If you thought it was a thrill just to see that one shot of Matt in the trailer, wait til you see a whole episode with him.”

“Arrow” is going to premiere on October 7, and while we’d love to see John surface for more than one episode, all signs point to that being unlikely. In the end, we really should just be lucky to have him for however long that we do, and we hope that his appearance will bring some other similar characters to the table soon enough.
