ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8 spoilers: One Castle – Beckett photo to cool your nerves

Just in case you have developed some sort of anxiety as of late regarding “Castle” and the future of two of your favorite characters, we’re posting the new photo above as proof of one thing above all else: Everything is going to be just fine!

This image is from “XX,” the second episode of season 8 that is set to air on ABC Monday, September 28. It is the second installment in a two-partner, and will look at a key series of events from the perspective of Beckett (Stana Katic). The premiere “XY” tackles similar events, but from the vantage point of Rick (Nathan Fillion).

This kiss above certainly seems to be of the “I haven’t seen you for a while and I’m happy you are okay” variety, and it is that sweeping romantic gesture for those of you who have been concerned that many of the changes, including Beckett becoming a Captain and the arrival of new characters, meant that the two are going to be in some sort of trouble. While we do think that they will have ups and downs like any other couple, it still feels very much like the focus will still be on their lives together, and how they navigate many of the fluctuations that come with being two extremely ambitious people.

Ultimately, we don’t think one way or another like the entire course of the story is going to be uncovered in the first episode; it’s going to take a little bit of time to figure out some of that.
