‘Scream Queens’ spoilers: Patrick Schwarzenegger set for role

While we’ve already heard about a wide array of popular guest stars who are going to be appearing on “Scream Queens,” whether it be Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas, or many others who will be turning up a little bit later in the season.

In a post on Twitter, it was revealed today that Patrick Schwarzenegger is one of the upcoming guest stars for an episode presumably airing late in the season. Given the timing of the announcement and where the show is in filming, it’s doubtful that he will be turning up earlier unless executive producer Ryan Murphy really wanted to keep this a secret.

Insofar as resume-builders go, this is one of the biggest ones that Patrick has received so far in his career. While he has appeared in some projects including “Grown Ups 2,” this is probably the right combination of mainstream and beloved at the same time. We don’t actually know if “Scream Queens” is going to be a good series, but Murphy’s pedigree goes a long way. Schwarzenegger has at some points been known to date mostly because of his famous father Arnold, and also because of being linked romantically to a number of other famous people.

The first season of “Scream Queens” will premiere on Fox come Tuesday, September 22, and the story revolves around a college sorority who finds themselves torn apart by a mysterious killer in a Red Devil mask. You can see the opening title sequence here, which reveals that Jamie Lee Curtis, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Emma Roberts, and more are all main cast members. Therefore, we have to think that these are the people who at least have a decent shot of surviving.
