‘Arrow’ season 4: Latest trailer unveils Oliver / Felicity surprise

“Arrow” certainly is wasting no time busting out a wide array of surprises in their season 4 coverage. The latest example? Let’s just say that it ties into the story of Oliver and Felicity in a way that we didn’t see coming.

Apparently, the show is so excited about pairing these two up at the moment that they want you to even be thinking about marriage already. After all, Oliver seems ready to be sending his girlfriend an engagement ring right before Thea and Laurel drop in to ruin the party. Are we excited about the idea of an Olicity wedding? Sure, but there are a wide array of milestones that we’d love to see on the show at some point before it happens. We really haven’t even seen them date yet, let alone fight crime as a couple. Since the engagement doesn’t actually happen, we may have just saw the ring as a sign that Oliver is thinking about this, even though it is not happening at the moment.

As for the rest of the trailer, it contains a lot of footage of stuff we’ve already seen, but it is nice to see more of Anarky, and we are very much still curious to see how the whole Damien Darhk-with-powers story ends up coming to fruition. We’re more surprised about that right now than anything.

The new season of “Arrow” premieres on Wednesday, October 7. Given that there is still a lot of time between now and then, that may mean that we get a chance to share more footage in the future. Stay tuned!
