‘American Horror Story: Hotel’ spoilers: First details on ‘Checking In’
For all of those who have been craving some teasers all about “American Horror Story: Hotel,” we do have some more information for you and it’s all about the lens in which some of the story will be shaped. Executive producer Ryan Murphy both co-wrote and directed the premiere episode called “Checking In,” and it gives us the impression that we are going to see the show’s notorious Hotel Cortez through the eyes of Wes Bentley’s character of John Lowe. Who knows? Maybe he is going to be one of the few sane people visiting this establishment this season. It’s always nice to have one sane person in the bunch to help show just how crazy everyone else really is.
FX released the synopsis for this October 7 episode earlier toady, and you can check that out now below:
“Detective and family man John Lowe investigates a chain of gruesome murders in Los Angeles. A mysterious tip points him to the enigmatic Hotel Cortez.”
By the end of this premiere, we’re sure that we are going to start to meet a few other interesting characters in and around the establishment. We like to envision this hotel to be very similar to the one in “The Shining” – full of horrors with perhaps a deranged ax wielding father with cabin fever roaming the halls. Some of the characters are sure to creep us out in tremendous, exciting ways while some will just be terrifying for the sake of being terrifying. Lady Gaga plays the Countess, the blood-craving owner of this particular hotel. Meanwhile, Kathy Bates will actually look after the day to day operations, and some people who populate it will include Matt Bomer and Finn Wittrock’s characters.
While sometimes things get a little too crazy on this show around the end of the season, the beginning of “American Horror Story” seasons tend to start out with a bang, so we are feeling optimistic about the premiere.
