‘The Walking Dead’ season 6: Alexandra Breckenridge, others promoted to series regular

TWD -The Walking Dead” already had a pretty enormous core cast going into season 6, and with the latest announcement, it is official that it is expanding once again.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tovah Feldshuh (Deanna Monroe), Alexandra Breckenridge (Jessie Anderson) and Austin Nichols (Spencer Monroe) are all going to be regulars for at least the sixth season. While this is a great achievement for all three actors, we really wouldn’t take it as any sort of sign that they will be around the show forever. Andrew J. West was promoted to regular before the start of season 5, and did you see just how long that lasted? Gareth was great while he lasted on the show, but he and the entire crew at Terminus did not last long.

The site also unveiled today the new key art for the sixth season, and you can see that above. Awesome, no? We seriously love it, mostly because it actually keeps things remarkably simple and is different than anything that the show has done so far. Also, it reminds us that for the time being, this is still the story of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) more than anyone else.

The first few episodes of season 6 are going to focus on Rick and his group in Alexandria, as they all continue to try to determine whether or not they can adapt to these surroundings and have some sort of normalcy. Given this show and its history, that seems unlikely … especially with the Wolves doing their part to cause some carnage.
