‘Teen Wolf’ season 5, episode 11 debate: When should next episode air?

As you more than likely no by now, there is no new episode of “Teen Wolf” on MTV tonight, and nor will there be another episode coming at any point in the near future. The show is on hiatus, though Tyler Posey and the rest of the cast are hard at work crafting the final ten episodes of season 5 (maybe not exactly as we’re writing this, but you get our point nonetheless).

We thought we’d spend this article tackling what is for many fans a pretty important topic: When exactly should you anticipate the show returning to MTV with new episodes? There is no confirmed return date just yet, and there is not even that much of a template to work off of. The majority of the seasons for the show have run only in the summer, including the most-recent fourth season.

Therefore, we’re going to have to hop back in our time machine to early 2014 for evidence of when the second half of the third season aired. It premiered on Monday, January 6, and then ran for the twelve weeks that followed.

Is it possible that the show could start, therefore, on Monday, January 4? If MTV wants to really put out its episodes as early in the year as possible, that is a good course of action. However, you also have to remember that since there are only ten more episodes this year as compared to twelve in the back half of season 3, they could choose to start it on the 11th or even the 18th to have it end at around the same time.

Personally, our feeling is you air it as early as possible in the new year. It opens up the schedule more in the spring, and you can take advantage of people being home in the colder months.
