‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: The ice thaws, Jessie Godderz, and more
In the middle of all of the insanity surrounding the “Big Brother” Power of Veto Competition on Saturday, there was one delightful part of it we forgot to mention: Jessie Godderz was a part of it! The man, the myth, the legend otherwise known as Mr. Pec-Tacular (clearly were a fan) was the host, and handed off the Veto to Austin at the end.
Why does this matter? In part, it may be one of the motives why Austin tried so hard to win. He still wants a career in wrestling, and Jessie is a great example of someone who has been able to use the show to leverage a career in sports entertainment after the fact. This is a career that Austin wants, and will probably fight hard to get after the show judging from a lengthy conversation that he had with Julia after the fact.
Liz and Austin are now on better terms than they were last night, when she was upset over him winning and also some of his reaction to it, feeling like he was targeted. (The reality here is that he would have been evicted had he lost and had Julia not won.)
For the time being, it doesn’t appear to be set in stone who is going to be sent home, with the twins trying to decide amongst themselves. It would benefit Johnny Mac and Steve the most, we feel, if Liz stays. While Liz is more of a challenge competitor than Julia, if Vanessa winds Head of Household with Julia still around, she is more likely to side with her and Austin than Austin and Liz, who are definitely taking each other to final two.

Austin could not give the veto over by throwing it. That is one of his best gameplays so far. Who would throw a comp this late? He has much more moral authority than V’messa and I will not be surprised if Steve puts Vwoman up instead of Julia. And I’d be delighted.

Get rid of Liz as she is the glue that holds Austwins together. This is a no-brainer.
