‘Ray Donovan’ season 3, episode 9 preview: Ray questions Bunchy

While we were worried that Showtime would try to take the Sunday before Labor Day off (since ratings for many shows tend to be lower on the day), the network is not doing this at all with the lineup this weekend. “Ray Donovan” will be new, and the sneak peek below proves that Ray is not Bunchy off the hook for his decision to get married to someone he has only known for about a month.

So what has Ray done for the “good” of his brother? Well, it’s as simple as running a background check on his bride-to-be, which he claims contained quite a few unwelcome secrets that have him worried about whether or not he should go through with this.

As a response to this, Bunchy is of course not happy for a pair of different reasons:

1. It’s the simple act of running a background check on her without his permission.

2. It’s also that Bunchy feels like Ray cannot let any decision made by someone close to him go without inserting his opinion on it in one form or another.

By the time that we make it to the end of this episode, maybe we’ll get a chance to see what really happens here with the wedding. The only other bit of scoop we’ll share for now is that even when he’s not present, Mickey Donovan finds a way to create problems for his family. It’s really just his M.O. at this point, and it is pretty unavoidable.
