‘Poldark’ season 2: Aidan Turner, cast check out the scripts!
We’ve made it our priority to cover “Poldark” season 2 from start to finish this year, which means in this case we are starting at the very beginning for some of the cast members.
In a post on Twitter below, cast member Heida Reed (who plays Elizabeth) shares a photo of none other than Aidan Turner at one of the first script read-through meetings of the season. These are the way the majority of drama series prepare for filming. Doesn’t Aidan look rather happy to have his script?
Reed also commented in another tweet that eight episodes of the season have been read, which this time around means that she’s had a chance to see 80% of the story so far. While the first season for BBC One only had eight installments, early reports show this one having ten. That’s great news for any fan wanting more of the story, which did speed by rather quickly over the course of season 1.
Unfortunately, the wait for season 2 to start is still a long one. We’re thinking that it will probably be back in the spring, while the cast spends the majority of the rest of the year trying to get things ready. There’s a lot of story for the show to cover right away, with the primary thing being trying to figure out how in the world Ross Poldark frees himself from his desperate situation, while also still grieving the loss of his child. We can barely think of any ending to a season that was more heartbreaking than the end of season 1.

You’re massively optimistic if you think the show will be back on TV next Spring. It only finishes filming then, with months of post-production to come. My bet is it’s back Autumn 2016.
