‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: Some (long-awaited) Edward Nygma scoop!

At the end of “Gotham” season 1, we started to see the side of Edward Nygma that would eventually lead to him becoming the Riddler! After all, this was a guy who decided to “take care” of Kris Kringle’s boyfriend, feeling that he wasn’t right for her. He then made a little for her to make it appear as though he had taken off to parts unknown.

So it actually possible that these two could have a romance moving into season 2? There’s something compelling about it just based on the arcs that the two characters have been on, but we have a pretty good indication at this point that it’s probably not going to end well. These two will have some time in the spotlight in the second episode of the season entitled “Knock, Knock,” and you can check out the synopsis below via SpoilerTV:

“On the heels of his reinstatement, Gordon is thrust onto the high-profile case tracking the deadly inmate escape from Arkham Asylum. Meanwhile, Galavan plans his next move, while Bruce asks for help from his father’s old friend to unlock the secrets in his office, and Nygma asks out Kristin Kringle (guest-star Chelsea Spack) on a date.”

If there are some inmates on the loose at Arkham, you know that this is probably not great news for Gordon. Just take a minute or to in order to remember who was placed there previously: Jerome and Barbara Kean. These are two people he probably does not want out there in the real world, given what they have each done.
