‘Gotham’ season 2 spoilers: Premiere photos show more of Theo, Tabitha Galavan
“Gotham” season 2 has already been coined by Fox as “Rise of the Villains,” and hopefully this means that the show will just give the characters time to let them be however evil they want to be. There were many flaws in the first season, and one of the biggest ones was making us wait far too long before allowing us to get to the good stuff with The Penguin.
Two of the early arrivals to the season, if you’ve missed some recent reports, are Theo and Tabitha Galavan. They’re siblings, they are powerful, and they are violent. Specifically, Tabitha above (played by Jessica Lucas) is more of the violent one. She has the alter-ego of Tigress, and is going to cause more than a little bit of chaos in the streets. This should be fun! We’re fine with some lesser-known Batman characters appearing in “Gotham,” at least so long as there are some who are being left until Bruce Wayne is actually an adult. Isn’t that necessary to give him some younger people to take on?
The photo above is from the September 21 premiere, and it features Tabitha sans any sort of costume or whip. Meanwhile, the bottom image is of Theo, played by “True Blood” alum James Frain. He is extremely wealthy, and has a certain Harvey Dent – “The Dark Knight” quality to him in that he could be perceived as someone with Gotham’s best interests at heart. However, what they discover instead (at least eventually) is that he is firmly a man with his own self-interests at heart, and is hardly sympathetic to the needs of others.
Let’s just hope these two turn out as awesome as they sound on paper, and equally formidable to go along with it.
