‘Big Brother 17’ live feed spoilers: Steve versus Steve
It’s not often that we get this sort of indecision right before a live show on “Big Brother 17,” so this is pretty exciting. While it may have seemed going into the overnight that Meg was done for in the game, Steve’s own talking out loud has us convinced that there is still a chance for her to stay.
At this point, it is pretty clear that he is going to be the swing vote, and will determine whether or not Julia stays or goes. There were times overnight that he muttered to himself that it was right to keep things as it is, but then other times where he muttered something about flipping the vote and making the big play.
Steve’s obviously smart enough to know the advantages and disadvantages of his decision. If he keeps Julia, the benefit is that he is probably not the immediate target of anyone going into the next week (or in this case the double eviction). Most everyone will target James, and if they cannot target him, Johnny Mac will probably be the one in danger. However, keeping Julia does put him in a position where he and Vanessa have to win a ton of competitions down the line in order to make it to the end. Austin and the twins are not turning on each other, and they will do anything to go to the final three as a group.
As for keeping Meg, the instant advantage is a better chance at making it to the end and having a resume to win, as someone who orchestrated a big move independently of Vanessa. We feel like this is really why Steve should be making this happen, since as of now we’re not sure he would be able to beat anyone other than maybe Austin or one of the twins. While he is a bigger target in the Double Eviction James could still be just as much a target anyway, and working with James and Meg would give them a good chance at being able to knock out either Austin or Liz Thursday. Vanessa’s also a possibility, but that would depend on who she is up against.
While Steve getting out Julia would be excellent television and he’s still thinking about it, we think that in the end he’ll stick with Vanessa’s plan. He is a timid player, and not someone who is going to want to rock the boat unless he really has to.
