‘Suits’ season 5, episode 11 preview: When will Gabriel Macht, cast return for new episodes?
Tonight, “Suits” ended its summer half of season 5 with an episode entitled “Faith,” which spent a good bit of time in the past to go along with all of the story that it told in its present.
Now, we are getting set to look forward to the future. There are still seemingly another six episodes to go this season, which will pick up the pieces from the finale and set up a very different emotional landscape. More than likely, you’ll get even more great performances from Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, and the rest of the cast after a terrific summer. So when will the show return? Well, there are no specific dates set in stone yet.
Traditionally, the pattern here for the series is that it is coming back in late January, at least so long as there is no major competition like the winter Olympics coming in and messing things up. The show tends to end in the spring, and then it goes off the air again until June or July. The series has already been renewed for a sixth season, and there is nothing to worry about from that standpoint.
One of the great things about this show is that structurally, there is no real need for the show to end at any point in the near future. It has a format that will work almost indefinitely, and as long as we are intrigued by these stories, we want to see the show stay. (Also, we hope that Mike isn’t behind bars for very long … we loved the summer finale, but that’s the one twist we’re unsure about.)
