‘Scorpion’ season 2 spoilers: Is someone else after Walter O’Brien?

Is there someone coming up who will get between Walter and Paige on “Scorpion“? We’re not going to say that. However, at the same time they could be a threat to the team in another way.

As reported by TVLine, the upcoming sixth episode of this season is going to revolve heavily around Elyes Gabel’s character being pursued by someone described as very beautiful within a hotel bar, but the twist here is that she’s really not interested in being with him at all. She’s more interested in planting a bug, and of course setting off a dangerous chain of events. This will just be a test of Walter’s resilience to her flirting, and whether or not he is going to be holding a candle for Paige at that point.

We’ve praised the show in some ways for moving forward the Walter / Paige story relatively quickly; we are at least getting a sense that there are feelings there, and that’s not bad for a procedural show that is only a year into its run. Let’s hope for some forward movement here in some way during season 2. It feels ultimately like a mistake to just make the assumption that a show is going to last for ten years, so you therefore have time to establish a relationship and build it. It’s better to create your show in the moment.
