‘Full House’ stars John Stamos, Candace Cameron Bure comment on ‘unauthorized’ Lifetime movie
There was not exactly too much in the way of notable programming that came on TV this weekend beyond new episodes of “Hell on Wheels” and “Hannibal” … at least unless you were catching “Blunt Talk” / “Survivor’s Remorse” on Starz or if you are a particularly huge fan of “Full House.” Lifetime aired their much-hyped “unauthorized” look behind the scenes of the show, and it was just about as terrible as it was hyped up to be.
Our ultimate problem with the network making a TV movie out of this following their attempt at doing so with “Saved by the Bell” is that compared to that show, this really was not that scandalous at all. Most of the information in here was already known, and none of it was really that shocking or appalling. Still, there was some fun that came out of seeing what some of the real cast members of the show had to say about it.
Of the group who commented, our personal favorite is Andrea Barber, mostly because everything is better in picture form. Meanwhile, Candace Cameron Bure took a little bit of a veiled shot at the special without mentioning it by name, and John Stamos did something completely different in wishing the actor portraying him luck.
Our feeling here is that Stamos probably actually handled it the best, even if Barber’s response was funnier. The thing here is that imitation is the best form of flattery, and you have to be able to laugh at your past and not take everything so seriously. This has to be especially true for this cast right now, given that they are all going to be a part of the Netflix revival “Fuller House” when it premieres in 2016. They are already hard at work making the show and we are expecting good things to come of this.
