‘Teen Wolf’ season 5 was originally going to be show’s last

Teen wolf -There are many fascinating things about “Teen Wolf” as a series, but one of the funniest things from a production point of view is that we are not really at a point when many of these actors are far from being teens … yet they are continuing to play people in high school. Holland Roden is 28 years old, Dylan O’Brien is 23, Tyler Posey is also 23, and Arden Cho is 30. When are we going to get into “Young Adult Wolf”?

Well, the thing here is that the show was not actually originally supposed to be done after the fifth season. Speaking on the Artist Alley Podcast to discuss his career and much more (via Hypable), showrunner Jeff Davis made it clear that there are many debates over what the future of the show will be, largely because he was not at first anticipating being in this position:

“We’re still debating that because, I have to be honest, I thought Season 5 was it. I thought we were ending … I have no idea what’s going to happen with Season 6. I have no idea if I’ll be alive after 5B.”

We do think that the show is eventually going to have to depart into the sunset, but it doesn’t have to be right away! The truth here is that there are still many fans who love the show, and it does a great job being one of the cornerstones of the MTV primetime lineup.

Ultimately, we see its future long-term coming down to two very simple things: How long the ratings stay strong, and how long the main cast wants to keep making it. We have a hard time imagining the show if you lose both Tyler and Dylan at some point.
