‘Scorpion’ season 2 spoilers: ‘Frasier’ veteran scores high-ranking role
For anyone out there who is curious about how long Alana De La Garza will be appearing on CBS’ “Scorpion,” we are now coming to you with an answer: Three episodes.
After the “Forever” alum departs the show for her role on the upcoming “Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior,” a replacement is going to step in and be the Deputy Director of Homeland Security Katherine Cooper. According to TVInsider, it will be none other than “Frasier” and “CSI” alum Peri Gilpin. It’s unusual to see so much turnover in this position, but this is what happens sometimes when actors’ schedules start to get in the way. Luckily, we imagine that longtime fans of “Frasier” are probably not going to complain too much about the change to begin with.
There are going to be more than likely a variety of other new faces that turn up over the course of this season, but many of them are not people you will see announcements for just yet. One of the good things about “Scorpion” is that this is ultimately a show that is largely about people in the field. With that, there are always new reasons to bring people aboard, and you just have to think about new ways to implement them.
The new season of “Scorpion” is going to premiere on CBS come Monday, September 21. We’re going to have some further news on the show as it starts to come out, so be on the lookout!
