‘The Fosters’ season 3, episode 10 (summer finale) review: Jude and Connor, Lena and Stef, and Callie’s case
After tonight’s episode of “The Fosters,” you probably needed to go out and buy another box of tissues. There was a lot that happened over the course of this hour, and the majority of it was not exactly great.
Let’s start here with Stef and Lena, who had to get some closure on everything that has transpired. For example, Lena had to handle the consequences for what happened between her and Monte, while Stef had to break the news to her about what she thought could be breast cancer. It turned out that she was okay, but she chose to bottle it up for a long time before the two came together in an emotional conversation.
Speaking of emotional moments, there was another one with Jude and Connor where Connor revealed that he is thinking about going to live with his mother, mostly because of the fact that there was so much tension between him and his father.
Now, we turn to Callie and Brandon, who realized that them sleeping together may have more consequences than either one of them first realized. As it turns out, though, that was not the biggest thing that potentially jeopardized her adoption. It was instead her app, which may have offended the judge … with the emphasis on the world “may.” It actually turned out that the judge was fine with the remarks. Callie did lie about herself and Brandon, and that did allow her to officially join the Adams – Foster family.
Maybe thanks to all of this, we got happy tears at the end of the episode more so than sad ones … though we know we’re not out out of the woods yet. At least Jesus is back! Or new Jesus anyway. Grade: B+.
